  10. Method 1: When the phone is on

When the Fly phone is turned on, the procedure for resetting settings to factory standards is carried out as on other models. You need to go to Settings, find the Recovery and reset item there, and then follow the instructions. In this menu, you can reset only the settings or delete all data and installed applications.
If you select the delete data option, the entire contact book will be deleted. Therefore, it is better to save important phone numbers in advance, for example, on your computer’s hard drive.
Perform this procedure only when necessary. With a factory reset, important data may be lost.

Method 2: When the phone does not turn on

To reset the settings on a switched off phone, you need to go to the Recovery menu. To do this, just hold down the following buttons when turning on the device: volume minus, volume plus and the power button. You should release the keys only after the Recovery menu appears on the screen.
A menu will appear in front of you in which you need to select the Wipe data/factory reset item. Moving the cursor around the menu is done using the volume keys, and selecting a specific item can be done using the Options button (this is a touch button with the image of four squares).
After the operations have been completed, a new menu will appear in front of you, where you need to confirm the execution of the hard reset procedure. To do this, simply lower the cursor to the yes -- delete all user data item and click on it. Now you need to select and click on Reboot System. Next, a complete reset of all settings and data on the phone will occur.

With a factory reset, many data will be lost, such as saved SMS and contacts.

If you have forgotten the device's pattern key, you can reset this setting in this way.

  11. Power+Volume down. Sometimes I can also enter through Volume Up.
After such cleaning, the tablet will return to its standard form for this model, as if it were out of the box. Let's look at all the ways to reset the system. Any hard reset looks like rebooting the tablet and formatting the information in it. In each specific case, the operation can be performed differently, for example, by clearing the SD card or resetting the pattern.

Before resetting system settings don't forget to save your data located on the tablet (SMS, contacts and other records). After a reset, all user entries are erased from memory along with the settings.

Method 1 - Through the menu(if the tablet turns on) Method 2 - Digital combination(if the tablet turns on) Method 3 - Using buttons(if the tablet does not turn on)
1. Turn off the tablet. The battery must be fully charged. 2. We press two buttons at the same time: power and volume up rocker. You will see a green robot on the display - release the buttons. 3. We are waiting for the Recovery menu to open. If nothing opens, press the power button once, or the home button. 4. Navigate through the menu using the volume rocker. Select an item wipe data/factory reset. To do this, you need to press the power key, which in this case serves as the OK button. 5. Next question will appear confirm wipe of all user data, we agree by selecting the item Yes - delete all user data. 6. After this, select the item reboot system now, the tablet will reboot and clear itself.
Method 4 - Through the service center Attention! Resetting the settings will destroy all your data from the tablet, including contacts, messages, accounts, installed software. If there is no need to reset, don't do it! In any unclear situation, it is better to contact a specialist. If you have any questions, ask them -

Sometimes even the best and highest quality smartphone can start to slow down, stop following user commands, or stop turning on altogether. Or maybe you forgot the graphic key - the password to access the device?

In this case, you can perform a complete reset to factory settings - Hard Reset, or “hard reset”. We will tell you how to do a Hard Reset on Fly with Android OS with minimal losses.

What to do before a hard reset?

Please note that a hard reset deletes all settings and data on your smartphone. Therefore, first figure out how to transfer contacts from your phone to a PC and save all the images, documents and other information important to you there. Synchronize with your Google account, transfer the most important contacts to a SIM card and save all the content of your device on external media. After all, after a Hard Reset, your phone will be completely “clean”.

Software Hard Reset

The first way to perform a hard reset is a soft reset. And it is carried out with the phone turned on. For this:

  • go to “Settings” of your smartphone;
  • select “Backup and reset”;
  • follow the prompts that appear.

This method is very simple. But it will only work if your smartphone is working in the correct mode and you have access to the menu. For example, if you need to clean your phone before selling it.

In most cases, a Hard Reset is required when the smartphone refuses to work or does not turn on at all. So, how to do a Hard Reset on a Fly that won’t turn on?

Please note that if you are not a specialist in the field of mobile device software or an advanced user, then to perform a hard reset, it is better to contact a service center, where professional technicians will carry out a safe hard reset procedure. It will take time to go to the service center, but this way you can be confident in the continued performance of your smartphone.

Any independent interventions in the smartphone software will remove the device from warranty service.

There are two ways to perform a hard reset. Let's look at both.

Method one

  1. Turn off the phone.
  2. We press three keys - two volume buttons (+ and -) and the power button - after which the Recovery menu opens in front of us.
  3. Find the Recovery mode item.
  4. Press the touch button “Home” (in the middle).
  5. Select “Wipe data/factory reset” using the volume buttons (+/-).
  6. Click the “Options” button (on the left).
  7. Use the volume buttons to go to the “Yes___delete all user data” item.
  8. Click on the “Options” button.
  9. We wait for the process to complete and select the “reboot system now” item using the same methods.

That's it, the data and settings on the phone are being reset.

Method two

  1. We take the phone in the switched off state.
  2. Press the + and – volume buttons (simultaneously).
  3. We look at the green screen that lights up, but do not release the button.
  4. We see the red screen and only now release the buttons. Next, press the volume up key.
  5. This way we enter the Recovery menu.
  6. We repeat steps 5-9 described above (Method one).

In some Fly smartphone models, the selection button is not the “Options” key, but the phone’s power key. If you are not sure about the correctness of your actions, study the videos and instructions specifically for your model or take the device to a specialist.

Before performing various actions on your device, we recommend reading this article in full.

To get around the problem of any problems in the phone, it is often enough to use the hard reset function. This feature allows you to reset your settings to factory defaults and remove all installed applications. But there is one problem - hard reset is performed differently on different phone models. Let's look at how this procedure is carried out on fly phones.

If you have forgotten the device's pattern key, you can reset this setting in this way.

Hello readers. With this post I am opening a new section in which I will perform only one action - reset the settings on the devices to factory settings or in another way - do HARD RESET. Our first test subject will be FLY IQ449 Pronto, whose password has been forgotten.

Since it is known that it has the latest version of software (firmware), we decided not to bother with changing the software, but to do a regular factory reset. But first, I’ll tell you what a hard reset is, it’s a hardware reset, it’s also a hard reboot, currently this formulation applies mainly to mobile devices - tablets, smartphones, some phones, cameras, players and other devices that have firmware (software component) , because even a modern washing machine has a huge variety of different settings and programs, which can later be reset to factory settings.

But we will mainly apply this term to mobile devices. So, a hard reset is a specialized reboot of the device, during which the system’s factory parameters are set, as well as the memory is permanently cleared - all user settings, installed programs, contacts, SMS, etc. are deleted. Data on memory cards and SIM cards is not deleted. Although in some systems this reset allows you to delete information from them too.

There are two types of resetting FLY IQ449 Pronto:

1. Software HARD-RESET- carried out from the device settings menu by selecting the appropriate item (Reset settings, Restore and reset, etc.), sometimes it is protected by a standard password 1234, 12345 or 00000000 - depends on the model and brand of the phone. After selecting this menu or entering the password, the device will reboot with standard settings. There are also specialized software from other manufacturers that allow you to do a soft reset, for example, one of the most common programs is SKTools.

2. Hardware HARD-RESET- this method is performed by pressing certain keys on the device; the buttons and pressing sequence are determined by the manufacturer and are individual for each model. Used when it is not possible to enter the menu or turn on the device.
This reset in 90% of cases helps in solving problems such as freezing, software errors (emergency termination of programs), conflicts of third-party software products, in some cases when the device does not turn on, system passwords (but not all when the SIM is locked, this reset does not will work in some models), problems with the network (in very rare cases), but the most important function is still quick and complete cleaning of the device. By the way, service centers charge from 300 to 1000 rubles for this procedure - the same as for changing software. Don’t rush to run to a server if your phone has these symptoms - try doing a hard reset yourself. Spend three minutes and save money.

ATTENTION!!! Before starting software updates, rooting, resetting settings and other manipulations with your own or, God forbid, someone else’s device HIGHLY RECOMMEND read this one. In short, you have been warned and don’t say later that this is the first time you’ve heard this...

FLY IQ449 Pronto - Hardware HARD-RESET

We have our FLY_IQ449_Pronto with a PIN code type password. This means that we cannot enter the menu and reset the settings in software - we will use HARDWARE. ATTENTION!!! WITH ANY RESET OF SETTINGS, ALL USER SETTINGS AND INSTALLATIONS, AS WELL AS PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL BE IRREVOCABLY DELETED!!!

Step 1: We charge the battery. In my case, I simply connected the wall charger to the smartphone and waited for it to charge. If your battery is discharged to “zero”, then you will not be able to do without a “frog” or you will need to find another battery. You can also reset the settings at 5% (personally tested) charge, but it’s better not to risk it and charge the battery. The more information on the phone, the longer the reset process will take.

Step 2: Turn off the device (if turned on) by pressing the on/off/lock screen button (3). Or if the device freezes and does not respond to anything, remove the battery and insert it back after ten seconds.

Step 3: First press the volume down button (2), and then the on/off/screen lock button (3). Hold until the FLY screensaver appears and release them.

Step 4: An Android robot with a “ripped open belly” appeared - press the volume up button (1). Android System Recovery appeared - in common parlance, factory recovery. Navigation through items is carried out using the volume buttons (1 and 2), and selection using the on/off/lock button (3).

Step 5:Select wipe data/factory reset.

You have forgotten your password or entered the wrong graphic, after which Fly was blocked on android? In this article we will look at how to do a Hard Reset and unlock Fly, if you entered the pattern incorrectly on the screen or forgot the set password. You can also remove a virus from your phone using this method. Nowadays there are a lot of viruses that block the Android screen and require you to pay a fine or something similar in order to unlock the phone. I warn you that even if you pay the scammers, they will not unlock your smartphone, you will simply lose your money. You will have to look for a way to unblock Fly yourself, or you will have to pay a new money to the specialists at the service center so that they can help you remove the ransomware virus.

Attention!!! Everything you do with your device is done voluntarily at your own peril and risk! The site administration is not responsible if your phone malfunctions. If you have a new phone that is under warranty or you are afraid that your phone may become damaged by applying this method of a full factory reset to Fly, then you can contact the service center. Good luck!!!

This method is suitable for Fly 4404 and similar Android devices. If you incorrectly entered a graphic or password several times, then Android will ask you to enter your Google account and password. For those who do not remember your email and password, you can try to do a hard reset, a full reset to factory settings, which will help unlock the screen and reset all passwords . After you do a Hard Reset on Fly, all files, settings and other information will be deleted from the phone’s memory. Also, in most cases, a hard reset will help clean up viruses on your Fly.

Attention! This procedure restores the phone as from the factory and everything that was on the Android will be cleared including: installed applications, games, files, contacts, messages and other information, and therefore, before resetting, save all important information and files, especially contacts. Once deleted, contacts and everything else cannot be restored.

If you still decide to do a Hard Reset on Fly to unlock it, do the following:

We turn off the phone and on the switched off device we hold down two buttons at the same time: the volume up button, that is, as if we were adding volume and the phone on/off button.
Keep both buttons pressed until the smartphone vibrates and you see the Fly logo, then release them.
Next you will see a green android with an exclamation mark or you will immediately be taken to the “Android system recovery” menu.
If the "Android system recovery" menu does not open immediately, press the power/lock button.
In the "Android system recovery" menu that appears, use the volume buttons to select "wipe data/factory reset". To confirm the action, press the volume button in the middle.
Next, in the menu that appears, use the same buttons to select the item “Yes – delete all user data” and also confirm the sound level adjustment button in the middle.
Next, the reset process will begin and the android and the message --Wiping data... Formatting /cache... will be visible on the screen.
We press the on/off button and see how the process occurs on the green android.
Next, the phone will start loading.
Select the device language.
Next, you will be shown how to insert SIM cards, and will be offered to configure other functions along with entering information to personalize the phone.
All! The phone is unlocked, the password and graphic have been reset, all that remains is to configure everything again and use it.
