How to throw cars in GTA San Andreas. Adding new cars to GTA San Andreas. What's in the archive

The car can be installed in two ways!

The first one is manual.

This requires IMG Tool 2.0.

Instructions:

1. Install IMG Tool 2.0.

2. Extract files from the archive.

3. Launch the program and open the GTA3.img file, it is located in the models folder. (Fig. 1)

4. Find in this archive, for example, greenwoo.dff and greenwoo.txd (Fig. 2,3) and extract them (Extract command) to any folder (backup).

5. Replace the files with new ones; to do this, select 1 file, click right click on it and select the replase command, then in the window that opens, find this file, select it and click open. We do the same with file 2. (Fig. 4.5)

6. Open the text file that was in the archive (there will be data that will need to be rewritten into the file VEHICLES.IDE and handlinch.cfg) these files are opened using a regular text editor (notepad) if this is not done, there may be large glitches with the car wheels or other bugs.

The second one is automatic.

Instructions:

Download Garage Mod Manager.

Unpack it into the root directory of the game and run the program.
Click the button labeled INSTALLER in the upper right corner and select MANUAL CAR INSTALLER in the window that opens

Line 1: VEHICLES.IDE,

Line 2: handlinch.cfg,

Line 3: carcols.dat

Next comes the line DFF model in which we indicate the path to the file (in our case it is greenwoo.dff) in the next line we indicate the path to greenwoo.txd the last line does not need to be filled in.
Now press the INSTAL button and wait for the machine to install.

From this article you will learn how to install mods on cars, motorcycles and other vehicles for GTA San Andreas.

Step 2- open the archive, extract the modloader.asi file and the “modloader” folder into the folder with your game.

Step 3- create a new folder in the “modloader” folder with any name (necessarily in English letters).

Step 4- download the archive with the transport of your choice (in this case, let it be ).

Step 5- open the archive, extract the files with the extension txd and dff to your folder.

To enable the mod directly in the game, you need to:

1. After loading the game, go to the pause menu, select “Settings”, “Mod Configuration”, “Modifications”.

2. In the list of installed modifications, you can disable/enable the mod you need.

Installation using Alci's IMG Editor

Step 1- download the program.

Step 2- open the archive and run the exe application.

Step 3- click File, Open and select the location of the gta3.img file

This disk image file contains all the skins, all the vehicles, various textures, etc. It is located in the folder models, in the game folder. This is where we need to throw new transport.

Step 4- download the archive with transport and extract the files to any location.

Step 5- click Actions - Import (remove it exists), and select the files that were recently extracted from the downloaded archive, click “open”.

Step 6- When exiting, the program will ask if you want to save the changes. Select "Yes".

Sometimes the files in the archive are named completely differently than the models in the game. In this case, it will help you GTA Garage Mod Manager (GGMM). This program allows you to visually see the fleet and through it you can find the original model in order to replace it with a new one.

Installing GGMM:

Step 1- download the program.
Step 2- open the application and extract the folder to any location on your computer.
Step 3- copy and paste all the files in the unpacked folder into your game folder.

After installation, open the application, select the transport you need. On the left is the original file name (for example, landstal). Next, you just have to rename the downloaded car model to the original name (example: in the downloaded archive it was “Far.txd Far.dff”, after the renaming it became “landstal.txd landstal.dff”)

To quickly find the car you need in the game, I recommend using. To do this, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Z, Then "Car Spawn" and choose the desired transport.

About handling

handling.cfg- this is the file that is responsible for the physics of all Vehicle in Game. Often, modmakers can add not only models to the archive with a vehicle, but also change the settings of the vehicle itself, adding handling.cfg to the archive with the modification. In the game this file is located in the folder data. It can be opened through Notepad and through search (keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F) you need to find a line by the name of the car model and replace this line with the one given in the archive with the mod.

This line needs to be deleted (from the original file in the data folder):

This line (from the mod archive) needs to be copied and pasted in place of the deleted line in the original game:

- GXT Russian Translator
- SA More Vehicles Plugin
- Crazy IMG Editor
- gta_sa.exe 1.0 EU/US
- Normal hands

Let's start:

1. Download the car you like - . I downloaded the VAZ 2101, I had 3 files in the archive: model, texture, and text file.

2. Unpack the files into a folder and rename them. Now I will write everything using my own example. I renamed it like this: vaz.dff and vaz.txd respectively.

3. Upload files from the archive (ASI Loader, Vehicle Audio Editor Ultimate, Handling Adder Ultimate and More Vehicles) to the root folder of the game, replacing existing files.

4. Open the %game_folder%modelsgta3.img archive with Crazy IMG Editor and add the vaz.dff and vaz.txd files to it. The game often does not accept archives weighing more than 2GB. In this case, I advise you to create a new img archive and register it in the file %folder_with_game%datagta.dat.

5. Open text editor file %game_folder%datavehicles.ide. If your text file said "add this line to vehicles.ide", copy it and paste it into this file. I didn’t have this, so I took the parameter from Greenwood:

492, greenwoo, greenwoo, car, GREENWOO, GREENWO, null, poorfamily, 10, 0, 0, -1, 0.7, 0.7, 0

And edited:

18631, vaz, vaz, car, GREENWOO, VAZ, null, richfamily, 10, 0, 0, -1, 0.80, 0.80, 0

1 is a free ID (you can find free IDs in the Free IDs.txt file)
2 is the name of the dff file (I have vaz.dff)
3 is the name of the txd file (I have vaz.txd)
4 - Type of transport (car - machine, mtruck - big car, heli - helicopter, boat - boat, trailer - trailer, bike - motorcycle, train - train, plain - plane, quad - quad bike, bmx - bicycle)
5 - variable in handling.cfg (can not be changed)
6 - variable for the name of the car in the game, this is how it will be called in the GXT file.

The rest can be left unchanged

Now we add the finished line, edited, to the vehicles.ide file at the very end.

6. Using the same notepad, open the file %game_folder%datacarcols.dat. In the ReadMe I had the line:

greenwoo, 67,76,68,76,78,76,2,76,16,76,18,76,25,76,45,88

Change the name to your own:

vaz, 67,76,68,76,78,76,2,76,16,76,18,76,25,76,45,88

And now we add the finished line to the carcols.dat file in alphabetical order.

greenwoo, bnt_b_sc_l, bnt_b_sc_m, nto_b_l, nto_b_s, nto_b_tw, rf_b_sc_r, spl_b_bbr_m, spl_b_mar_m

Change the name to your own:

vaz, bnt_b_sc_l, bnt_b_sc_m, nto_b_l, nto_b_s, nto_b_tw, rf_b_sc_r, spl_b_bbr_m, spl_b_mar_m

And now we add the finished line to the carmods.dat file in alphabetical order to our group of cars. We won't need ReadMe anymore.

8. Open "VehicleAudioData.ini" using any text editor. This is where I didn’t understand everything, but I understood something and copied it:

CarType=0EngineOnSound=99EngineOffSound=98Unknown4=0Unknown5=0.779999971389771Unknown6=1HornTon=7HornHigh=1DoorSound=2RadioNum=8RadioType=0Unknown12=0Unknown13=0Unknown14=0Unknown15=0Unknown16=0

And I changed the ID (400) to my own.

Car IDCarType=0 Car type: 0 - car, ATV, kart, lawn mower, cleaner, 1 - motorcycle, 2 - bicycle, 3 - boat, 4 - helicopter, 5 - plane, 8 - train, tram, 9 - trailer, radio-controlled transport, golf cart, air bag, 10 - flower pot, luggage trailer, trailer with steps. EngineOnSound=99 Engine start sound IDEngineOffSound=98 Engine shutdown sound IDUnknown4=0 ???Unknown5=0.779999971389771 ???Unknown6=1 ???HornTon=7 "Beep-beep" signalHornHigh=1 "Beep-beep" signal DoorSound=2 Sound of doors opening/closingRadioNum=8 Number of the radio that will play when entering the carRadioType=0 Radio typeUnknown12=0 ???Unknown13=0 ???Unknown14=0 ???Unknown15=0 ???Unknown16=0 ???

9. This item is optional. Adding a machine to HandlingAdder.ini. The best option for adding a car is to increase the Count (instead of 1, write 2), add a new ID to the block, for me it is 18631, then copy the block, change it to our ID (18631), save, launch the game if it works for this handling - change the parameters.

10. There is not much left. Using GXT Editor, open the file %game_folder%textamerican.gxt. Go to the MAIN block. Using the Record->Add command, we open a window with a line. In this line we write what we wrote back in vehicles.ide, i.e. VAZ (that's what I have). Click OK. Now in the largest right window we write the name of the car (In English, it does not accept other languages), if you need to write it in Russian, run Translator.exe, in the top line enter the name of the car in Russian, for example, “Super-duper car”. Click "Convert to SA".

In the bottom line we get “CYZEP-ZYZEP TA4KA”, copy it (many DYOMers are familiar with this language).

I have this: VAZ 2101. Save.

11. Open %game_folder%datacargrp.dat with any text editor. There are groups there. Register the cars in any group in which you would like to see it...

12. Be sure to install gta_sa.exe 1.0 EU/US!

OK it's all over Now. Now you can see the added car in your game. This concludes the lesson, enjoy the game!

"GTA" is a series of games famous for the freedom of action provided to the player, as well as the huge number of different cars to which you have direct access. Most often, gamers do not complain that they lack this or that machine. But at the same time, sometimes you really want to get some kind of car, which, unfortunately, is not in the game. It would seem, but in fact you can completely fix everything. The fact is that there are all kinds of modifications that allow you to install various additions to the game. Naturally, with the help of modifications you can solve your problem with cars. So, if you want to know how to install cars in GTA: San Andreas that are not in the game itself, this article is for you.

Downloading the necessary files

Available online a large number of resources dedicated to this game. And if you want to know how to install cars in GTA: San Andreas, then you first need to find the models that you would like to see. After that, you need to download them to your computer, because further installation will be done directly from it. You no longer need an Internet connection - all the effects that the mod has on the game occur locally, that is, only on your PC. However, this is just the first step in the difficult path of learning how to install cars in GTA: San Andreas. Next it will be a little more difficult, but if you do everything according to the instructions, then there should be no problems.

What's in the archive?

Most often, the ones you would like to add to your game are in the archive. But what's inside? How to install cars in GTA: San Andreas with only zipped files? Naturally, first you need to unzip them using the appropriate program. You should not immediately extract them to the game folder, as this process will be a little more subtle and will require additional steps from you. There can be two different sets of files inside the archive. The first and most common option is simply files that are responsible for adding specific textures and vehicle functions to the game. The second one is more pleasant for the user - it includes not only the car files themselves, but also an installer with which you can more conveniently introduce new cars into the game. With the help of such a program, installing cars in GTA: San Andreas will become much easier.

Using the installer

It's worth starting with a more favorable option, in which you have an installer, and it will do most of the work for you. If you still don’t understand about cars in GTA: San Andreas, then here’s a little hint - you don’t need to touch any other files except the exe mod itself. Launch it, and then you only need to follow the instructions. Select the folder in which you installed the game, open the category with cars and their textures in it, select the car that you would like to replace with a new one, and then specify the path to the files that should be included in the game. After this, you can safely launch GTA, and instead of the car you selected, there will be a new one that you yourself identified and downloaded. As you can see, the question of how to install cars on GTA: San Andreas is not so difficult. In principle, everything is not so complicated even if you are not provided with an installer that will guide you through all stages of the installation.

Copying files yourself

If you don’t have an installer, then don’t be afraid that you’ll have to do everything yourself - the process is not that complicated, so you can handle it without any problems if you strictly follow the instructions. So, pay attention to what the car is like in file form. Most often, these are two files with the extensions txd and dff, which together make up a specific car model. Accordingly, in the game folder in the cars category you will find a whole set of similar pairs of files that are responsible for all the cars that are in GTA: San Andreas. Fortunately, they are all labeled exactly as the cars are called in the game, so it won’t be difficult for you to find the car you would like to get rid of. Choose a machine, delete two files, and in their place write down what you downloaded from the Internet. That's the whole secret, nothing more is required from you.

Creating Backups

Considering the fact that you will need to remove cars from the game in order to write new ones in their place, it becomes more relevant for you. If you want to return the model that was previously removed from the game, you will not be able to do anything unless you have created backup copy of this car. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you copy the files that you delete to a separate folder so that you can quickly return them later. Otherwise, you will have to completely reinstall the game in order for the car models you deleted to return.

Installing car models for GTA: San Andreas
how to install cars for GTA: San Andreas
To be sure that the installation process occurs without any troubles, I recommend using the manual installation method using the IMG Tool 2.0 program. It is best to use the manual installation method because you will know what you are replacing, and if something goes wrong, you will see the error and be able to correct it.
We download the archive with the new vehicle model, usually the archive contains 2 files with the extensions TXD and DFF, they contain the car model.
We'll show you how to install a vehicle modification: for example, you downloaded a mod for Infernus.
Unpack the archive with the Infernus.TXD and Infernus.DFF file to any folder.
Launch the IMG TOOL 2.0 program, click File=>Open (CTRL+L) in the menu
Specify the path to the MODELS folder in the game directory.
Open the GTA3.IMG file, a huge list of files will appear in the program window, this is the holy of holies of the game - almost all the textures and models from the game are located here.
Find the original Infernus.TXD and Infernus.DFF files to make it easier to search, sort all files alphabetically (Tools => Sort => Name) or use the search (Edit=>Find or press F2).
Found it? Great, now delete them (right-click on the file name and select Delete from the context menu). That's it, now you don't have the cool Infernus car in the game!
Now we actually install new car: in the Commands menu, select the ADD item (CTRL+A), and in the window that opens, indicate the location of the folder with the unpacked files from the Infernus.TXD and Infernus.DFF archive. Select these files while holding down the SHIFT key (to select both files at once or open and install these files one by one). Now our new car is installed in the game.
Setting vehicle characteristics
Very often, authors of modifications endow their creations with unique parameters; in order for these parameters to be visible in the game, you will have to manually register them in system files. You made a backup copy of them, right? Look in text files in the archive with the modification there is a phrase about changing the files handling.cfg, vehcicles.ide, carcols.dat, сarmods.dat. These files are responsible for the physics, color and wheels of ALL vehicles in the game. To make a change, simply open them with Notepad (or another text editor). If you see a phrase about changing any of these files, and below is a line with the name (as in the game) of the car followed by numbers, then you need to replace the original line in the game system files with this line.
For convenience, in the Notepad program menu, cancel “word wrap”, in the FILE => OPEN menu, select the folder: GTA San AndreasDATA at the bottom of the window, select the ALL FILES (not TXT only) mode, find required file(for example DEFAULT.DAT) and open it.
For example: the author of the modification asks to insert such a line into original file handling.cfg:
LANDSTAL 3000.0 6000.0 3.0 0.0 0.35 0.0 80 0.60 0.80 0.4 5 170.0 25.0 15.0 R P 8.5 0.30 0 30.0 1.0 0.12 0.0 0.24 -0.20 0.5 0.5 0.4 4 0.30 40000 20220010 504400 1 1 0
Open the original file handling.cfg, which is located in the DATA folder, find in it a line starting with the word: LANDSTAL ..., completely delete this line, and insert the one above in its place. If necessary, we make similar replacements in other files. Now our new car is installed in the game.
First, make copies of the DATA and MODELES folders, which are located in the directory, in a safe place, then in case of glitches with modifications, you can restore the game without reinstalling.
Now about the programs that you will need to install modifications, this is, of course, IMG Tool 2.0. The program is used to open IMG archives of GTA3, GTA: Vice City and of course GTA: San Andreas.
