How to disassemble the charger. How to disassemble an apple charger. The phone does not charge from the charger - what to do

Good evening Dear blog readers! Long time I had a charger for my LG phone, which actually charged a bunch of other devices for me. But at one fine moment, I noticed that the phone was not charging as expected. Either the phone is charging, or not, the charging status could change once a second. I put it aside for a long time, bought a new charger, but still the question of how to fix the charger for the phone arose and itched))).

Charging for the phone was composite - a usb wire was inserted into the plug, which in turn was stuck into the phone. There could be two reasons for the failure of charging here:

  • broken usb cable
  • a fault in the fork itself

The first option is easy to check - just replace the wire itself, I’ll say right away that it didn’t help, otherwise it would probably not make sense to write a whole article about it.

There was a malfunction in the fork ...

In order to find a malfunction and eliminate it, it was necessary to open such a plug. On top it is crowned with a gray plastic mask, which is well glued to the white body of this fork. Of course, if my task were not to fix the Just for fun charger, but to save it for future generations of further use, then I would be very confused. But I barbarously broke off the gray top and took out internal fee pliers.

Quite an ordinary handkerchief from the phone's usb-charging. The low-voltage part, the PWM environment and the part where the contacts for connecting to 220 V with a diode bridge and resistance are located separately.

Because charging periodically still worked, the logic suggested that the contacts in the plug itself were just leaving. Pay attention to these contacts:

In turn, in plastic case, where the plug pins are attached, also has its own contacts:

Cleaning them, slightly raising them, and also wiping the contacts on the side of the board with an eraser solved the problem - after assembly, the charging worked as it should.

If the below cosmetic steps did not help, then we would have to dig deeper. I had to check again if the capacitor was swollen, so large, located next to the 220 V contacts on the board. It would also be necessary to "inspect" the input resistance, which plays the role of a fuse (the green thing with stripes in the photo above). Judging by my measurements with a multimeter and by the markings on the "belly" of the resistance, its value in this charge was 10 ohms. If it burned out, it would need to be resoldered, but this would indicate a problem in the circuit. That is, it would be masking the problem.

Also, one of the problem areas in charging is the transistor, it often burns out.

In the process of working on this post, I needed to edit a video, which I, however, did not upload. If there is a need to cut video, insert simple titles, then there is not much point in resorting to some paid products, everything is already in Windows - this is Windows movie maker. But as soon as it is necessary to do something more, for example, to enlarge the video, then this program is no longer enough. I liked the program, which combines a number of useful qualities - it is quite powerful, easy to learn and cheap. I appreciated it and even acquired. It easily allows you to apply special effects, hide on the video what is somehow reluctant to show (wallet numbers, phones, etc.), stabilize the video and a whole lot more. I'll do a short review of it later.

It turned out that within a month two ordinary Chinese chargers failed. Moreover, no symptoms and hints of the difficult work of the exercises were observed. Just at one point, the phone stopped charging.

And although such chargers are not that expensive, however, there was an interesting desire to find the reason why they stopped working after a short period of time.

Cheap Chinese chargers are non-separable, as they come in a molded case. And if you need to get to the device board, then the case has to be cut or sawn. The most convenient and neat disassembly option is sawing part of the body. Therefore, we take a hacksaw for metal and saw off the upper part imitating the lid in a circle.

Then we remove the board from the case. We do everything carefully so as not to break off the details and not damage the tracks.

Now we make a visual inspection of the board on both sides to detect tracks and parts exposed to high temperatures due to short circuit or work of a detail with an overload.

As a rule, in places of strong heating and burnt parts, traces of soot are visible and the color of the varnish differs from the general color. Electrolytic capacitors (barrels) at the top may be swollen.

If no visible violations were found on the board, then most likely the charging circuit is "live" and in this case it is necessary to pay attention to power supply unit, which is a weak point.

The fact is that in order to reduce the cost and automate the assembly of the charger, the manufacturer simplified the supply of voltage to its input and abandoned the wires connecting the input of the board to the metal rods (plug) that connect the charging to the network.

Contact pads are etched on the board, and the board itself is clamped between spring-loaded clamps and metal rods. For current collection, the board is pressed with its contact pads to the latches and is in a clamped position between the latches and metal rods.

Tools Used

Now you can remove the back panel of the phone case. To do this, stick a tool for parsing cases (or a credit card) into the gap between the grayish panel and the battery compartment, and run it along the perimeter of the case to separate the latches.

It should turn out like this. Two small pieces will fall out on their own when you remove the back panel. Then remove the two self-tapping screws marked with circles.

Now you can remove the battery compartment, before that, peel off the cable glued on the side. After you remove the battery compartment, remove the two circled screws.

Raise motherboard up. It is still connected by a loop. Pull on the dark tab on the connector to pull it out of the connector.

It should turn out like this.

Assembly is done in reverse order.

Thank you so much for the annotation on disassembly. For my mother, this phone was washed in the wash by chance. machine more than one year ago. We took it out, blew it with a hair dryer - I didn’t get it. They gave us a repair and they told us that everything was useless. At the moment I found it by chance, I generally forgot about it earlier in the evening. Decided to try take apart and seriously dry all the circuits)) With the help of your website, I took it apart, dried all the circuits with a hot hairdryer, where there were traces of oxidation and water, smeared all the circuits with salicylic acid (alcohol 1%), dried it again, put it back together. I really wanted to make it work) And here is a festive moment, I press the button, ... ЁЁЁЁЁЁЁЁ. turned on. URAAA. I almost screamed with joy at all, it's impossible - 23:05 already))) Super)) Thank you for you!

Maxim, cool! Thanks for the comment 🙂

The article is amazing, a huge thank you for you, Roman! 😉
I have a discrepancy in the “0” button, I thought - the contacts under the button were oxidized / clogged, I looked - everything is clean. 🙁 I wiped it with alcohol - it does not work. But I found something else, if you press on the area a little to the left and above “0” and immediately press on “0”, then everything works. Now I don’t know, I need to somehow crawl under the keyboard - maybe I’ll see something there. 🙁

Yes, apparently - a small resistor, if it is he - soldered off. Just from that row of small parts a little above and to the left of "zero". Such are the things.

Cyril, if you really soldered off, you can solder it. But did he really screw up? Maybe just a problem with the Claudia substrate?

Exactly, exactly! 🙂 It even falls off on one side in the truest sense of the word. Therefore, for now, just glued the adhesive tape on top, it holds, but in order for the button to work, you still need to press it. Solder until there is no ability, I will endure.
Hm, curious, but if you remove it altogether and connect the contacts directly? Why is he needed there at all?

My comment here is the very first. So, please tell me why I dried all the microcircuits, the phone turned on, but the keyboard (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,)

Thank you, now I figured out how to disassemble! I have a problem, in the process of charging the phone, the child spilled tea and got into the area of \u200b\u200bthe charging plug, now the charge is not going on, I tried to measure the voltage at the phone terminals without a battery, there is not even 3 volts, the battery was zero for a day

Doesn't turn on telephone.Pitana have what to do?

The phone does not turn on, how to find the reason?

Alexey, Alexander, Meruert better take the phones to a good service.

I downloaded new songs, when they were played, the phone turned off. It began to turn on, showed the logo, then a black screen and periodically vibrates, what should I do?

Alena, reflash telephone.

I have such a problem, I started issuing contacts without names with squares, zeros, I rebooted it, it reaches the Sony Ericsson logo and that's it, it doesn't go any further, it doesn't react to anything! I went to the workshop, they say that everything cannot be done. What do you advise? Thank you!.

Causes of malfunctions of the mobile phone charger

Most common cause failure of the memory is a careless attitude towards it during operation.

Phone charger repair

Possible causes of breakdowns of the mobile phone charging unit

1. Broken wire at the plug and at the base of the charging unit. You can break the wires when charging is on during conversations.

You need to pull the plug out of the phone jack not by the wire, but by the plug body.

2. Failure of the elements of the electronic board of the charger. Very often, charging is left plugged in, and not removed from the outlet. At the same time, the entire electronic board of the charger is constantly energized, which reduces the service life of the radio elements of the board.

The wrong order of switching on and off the charger also leads to premature wear of the block elements.

If you disconnect the phone from the charger under voltage, sudden voltage surges occur that exceed the maximum allowable operating voltage of the cells. This is due to transient processes that occur in the memory when the load is removed (the phone is turned off) under voltage. With proper operation of the charger, the phone is connected and disconnected with the charging turned off.

Do-it-yourself phone charger repair method

You do not need to be a great specialist to find and fix a broken wire from the charging unit to the plug. Damage to the wire can be determined when the phone is connected. Having connected the phone to charging, bend the wire at the plug u of the base of the unit, while observing the continuity of the battery charging process.

In these places, wire breaks most often occur. If a break is found at the very base of the plug, then the wire is cut at a distance of 5-7 mm from the plug. This is necessary in order to be able to solder the whole part of the wire. The soldered wires are insulated separately with a thin heat shrink tube.

When the soldering points of the wires are insulated, a thicker heat shrink tube is put on the plug to stiffen the soldering point. Sometimes a wire break occurs at the very base of the plug, then the plug is completely released from the plastic seal, and the wires are soldered directly to the plug.

Do not reverse the polarity of the plug wires. The place of the break is also found with a multimeter in sound continuity mode or visually. The found place of the wire break is cut off with a small margin on both sides. Clean the wire from the top insulation. Then it is cut, stripped of insulation, twisted and soldered, after putting a thin heat-shrink tube on each wire, and a thicker tube on the common wire.

After soldering, thin tubes are put on the wires and upset by heating them with a soldering iron. At the end, a thicker tube is put on in place of the upset thin tubes so that the thick tube overlaps them in length. When soldering wires, observe the polarity according to their color. A new cable with a plug for your brand of phone can be purchased from specialized stores. Then phone repair comes down to a simple replacement of a faulty wire.

Type of faulty capacitors

Another common malfunction of the phone charger is a violation of the contact of the prongs of the mains plug. The spring-loaded pins of the mains plug often move away from the contact pads on the printed circuit board. To eliminate such a malfunction, it is enough to bend these contacts located inside the block.

Open the cover of the block. It is good if there are screws securing the charger cover, and if they are soldered. In this case, you need to cut a slot around the entire perimeter of the lid with a hacksaw blade for metal with fine teeth. Having eliminated the malfunction, the lid is closed and secured with adhesive tape 1 cm wide.

More complex, but quite affordable for an electrician, are device breakdowns associated with the repair of elements of the phone charger board. First of all, they open the memory and take out the board. Repair begins with a visual inspection of the elements printed circuit board and the state of its tracks.

Scheme of a pulse charger for a phone

When inspecting the elements, attention is paid to swelling of the upper part of the capacitors, darkening and violation of the integrity of the resistors. The darkening of the resistors and the tracks below it indicates that the operating temperature has been exceeded. In this case, the resistor itself is checked for resistance and diodes and transistors are called.

The pinout of transistors and the memory circuit for your brand of phone can be found on the Internet. If it was not possible to visually detect a malfunction, turn on the device and measure the input mains voltage. If mains voltage is present and a faint sound of operation is heard pulse transformer, then measure the output voltage of the unit.
