2018: Record sales growth by 14%

The predecessor of the ESET NOD32 antivirus was born in May 1988. At the same time, the series “Hospital on the Outskirts of the City” (or “Nemocnica na Okraji Mesta”) was extremely popular on Czechoslovak television. And since the antivirus could easily pass for hospital, it was decided to play off the name from the series of almost the same name. As for pronunciation, gradually the classic “enn ou dii” replaced the simpler and more understandable “nod!” Later, the NOD32 antivirus system naturally began to differ radically from the first versions of NOD. The system was transferred to a 32-bit basis, as evidenced by the prefix “32” to the spelling NOD32. And now the former separate spelling of NOD32 is already a thing of history.
