After this period, you will no longer be able to exchange the purchase for a similar item of a different color or size, or make a claim regarding the poor quality of the parcel.

The policy of the online store implies the exchange of a returned item only in one case - if it came to the buyer defective, and he wants to receive the same, but of high quality. In other situations, the exchange or return should be discussed with the support service, but most likely, the site representatives will agree to pay the full cost of the product.


One circumstance should also be taken into account. The Asos store often holds discounts and promotions, which may then affect the amount of funds returned. The first step before directly sending an unsuitable or defective item is to contact support and notify it of your intentions. The buyer should indicate the reason for the return, and if necessary, attach a photograph of the product, which shows the existing flaw. Next, wait for a reaction from Asos representatives, in which they agree to reimburse the cost of the product and its shipping (the latter, as stated above, only if there is a defect).

While waiting for a response, it would be a good idea to familiarize yourself in detail with the return rules, since they may change over time due to changes in the online store’s policy. It also defines the conditions for the delivery of each category of goods.

Once the response is received, you need to fill out the return form. Asos includes such a form in each box with a parcel, but in case of loss or damage, it can be downloaded without problems on the official website of the online store and filled out electronically or manually.

These declarations can also be found on the Russian Post website under number CN 23; they are intended specifically for returning purchases to foreign online stores.

Declarations are prepared as follows:

  • First, indicate the addressee to whom the parcel will be delivered and the addressee sending it. This is done only in English.
  • In the fields below you must enter information about the parcel - what exactly is being sent, in what quantity and at what total cost.
  • The tenth column only requires you to put a tick or cross next to the “Return of goods” or “Exchange” option.
  • At the very end you have to sign and date the declaration.

In order not to make a mistake with the address, you should copy it from the return form of the trading platform - there it is indicated in English, and the buyer only needs to carefully transfer it to both copies of the declaration and to the form that will be attached to the parcel package. In addition, the recipient's country must be indicated on the parcel in Russian - Great Britain.

This is where the sequence of actions ends for those who simply did not like the purchase. Those consumers who are faced with a defect will have to send checks to the store to reimburse postage costs. To do this, you need to take a high-quality photo that clearly shows what the payment was made for and the total cost, or scan it. Usually representatives react very quickly and promise to send a money transfer within the next 24 hours. True, it can take up to 10 days to reach a Russian citizen’s bank account.

Then all you have to do is wait and track your parcel. As soon as it is received, a notification will be sent to your personal account on the website. You will also need to indicate on the form the items to be sent - information about them (description, number and cost) can be copied from the letter that was sent by email after payment for the order. This is a kind of invoice, which it is advisable to save not only until you receive the parcel from the store, but also until it is completely checked. Only when the buyer is convinced that the product meets his wishes and has no flaws can he delete the letter.

The next step is Asos offers to choose which of the boxberry points closest to the client’s location will be convenient for him to take the returned order. The selected office must be ticked, and you must also confirm your desire to send the parcel for free. Here again you will have to duplicate the return form, but in Russian letters, including the name of the trading platform. After sending the request, you will receive a message indicating your personal parcel number; you need to save it.

With this number and a scan of your passport, you will need to go to the online shopping acceptance point. The returned item must be packaged in a plastic bag, not a box - you can buy it at the post office, which will be cheaper, or give the order to Boxberry employees so that they can pack it for an additional fee.

There will be no declarations to fill out, since the office employees themselves will download and print everything from the submitted request. And in subsequent calls to return purchases to Asos, everything will go even faster, since the buyer’s data will be saved in their database.

After this, again, you need to wait. Usually the process of sending and receiving takes about two weeks, after which the store received a notification that it had received the package and sent money or a replacement item. Money will be credited in the same way as the order was paid for - to a virtual wallet as soon as possible or to a bank account within another 10 days.

Photos from all sides and videos from the fashion show were studied and I made up my mind.On February 26th, Friday evening, I placed an order:

On March 12, Saturday, I sent the dress back to the Russian Post office.
It was neatly folded and packed in the bag it came in. Form nestedAsos, was filled out: in the reason for the return, I indicated the number 6 “does not suit me.”

Next to the address sticker on the form there is a sticker with a barcode and order number, I also stuck it on the Russian Post package in which the dress went to the UK. The form was included in the same package.
At the Russian Post office, it was necessary to fill out a customs declaration in two copies in English. It is very simple, there are examples on the Internet.

Sending a “small package” cost me 438 rubles. Since the product was not defective, this costAsos didn't give it back to me.

The tracking number was on the receipt, I looked at all the movements on the Russian Post website.

March 24th morning, fromAsosa letter was received that they received the goods back and are ready to return the money for it - 6160.47 rubles within 5-10 working days.

For a very long time I was looking for an outfit for a friend’s wedding in regular stores, I couldn’t choose anything, and literally 2 weeks before the date of the event I decided to order something online. Therefore, I definitely needed to receive the items as quickly as possible; there was already very little time left for delivery; I could not wait for the items to arrive by regular delivery. Next, fill out the form that was included in the parcel. The names of the goods are already included in it; you need to indicate the reason for the return by putting in the appropriate numbers. I put the returned items in the same bags in which they were placed. Next, we take these things and the form to the boxberry point. Everything related to parcel packaging will be done for you by boxberry employees. You can put the returned item in an inside out Asos bag, I read that someone was allowed to send it in the same bag. But personally, a boxberry employee told me that I needed to buy a new package; it cost no more than 50 rubles. The employee gave me a piece of paper confirming that they had accepted my items and warned me that it was better not to throw it away until I received the money. The parcel is assigned a track number, you can track it on the ASOS website. 3 weeks passed from the moment of dispatch (August 29), and on September 18 the goods were delivered back, and I received money to my PayPal account (I paid for the order through it). It turns out that only a month passed from the date of placing the order to the date of the refund.


An important and pleasant point: the cost of delivery was not deducted from the refund amount, i.e. it remained free, despite the fact that the actual amount of the order became less than 8,000 rubles after the return. They gave me back exactly what the items cost.

I was pleased with both the quality of the items and the terms of delivery/return. Everything works clearly and conveniently.

3. Returning unsuitable goods to Asos

6. this thing doesn’t suit you (it doesn’t fit you well);
7. the item received is not the one that was ordered in the store;
8. The parcel was damaged during shipment;

- if the documents were lost, after downloading, fill in all the information in Latin letters, and do not forget to indicate the order date “Order Date” and the corresponding order number “Order Number”.

Note: For normal returns, no cover letter is required for ASOS customer service.

— pack the parcel and go to the selected postal service, where, after filling out the necessary shipping documents in Latin letters, arrange for the parcel to be sent. Remember, if possible, as not all postal services allow this, to peel off the sticky square with the recipient's address from your return form and stick it on the outside of the package. If you were not allowed to stick it on, no problem, fill out the data in Latin and add the order code, which is indicated in the lower left corner of the same sticker, which will significantly speed up the process of processing your return.

In your letter of appeal, you must indicate the reason (defective or wrong product ordered), the full name of the product, article number, indicate what defects are present and where (or which product you ordered and which one you received) and attach a confirming photo.

Next, you wait for a response letter from ASOS and follow the recommendations sent: make a return or keep the item due to minor defects, the store can send you a return form (postage) and/or a personal discount code for your next order.
After which you collect the parcel, fill out the necessary documents, as well as the form for the return of postage in Latin, and put it in the parcel.
